About Capgo

We build the open update infrastructure Capacitor teams can trust.

Capgo started in December 2022 with one goal: make live updates fast, affordable, and understandable for teams shipping Capacitor apps in production. We stay small, hands-on, and focused on the release path between your code and your users.

Team

A small team building close to the product.

Capgo is intentionally compact. The same people improving native update behavior, product flows, and enterprise onboarding also talk to customers and maintain the open source surface area.

How we got here

From solo maker project to production update platform.

2022

Capgo starts

Martin begins building an affordable live update path for Capacitor apps after seeing teams blocked by slow and expensive release tooling.

2023

Native work gets deeper

Michael joins and pushes the native update layer forward, focusing on smaller updates, faster installation, and better platform behavior.

2024

Back office gets steadier

Marie-Ange joins part-time to support accounting and keep the operational work around a growing business under control.

2025

The product matures

Jordan and Valeria help Capgo scale the dashboard, onboarding, and customer success work needed by production apps and larger teams.

2026

Capacitor DX expands

Adrien joins to help make Capacitor and Capgo feel faster, clearer, and more natural for mobile teams coming from modern developer tooling.

Now

Infrastructure for Capacitor teams

The focus is still narrow: make app updates faster, safer, and more understandable for teams building mobile apps from web technology.

Self-funded by design

Capgo is profitable and customer-funded. Product decisions stay tied to reliability, support, and what shipping teams actually need.

Open source foundation

The platform and plugin ecosystem stay inspectable and portable, so teams are not locked into a black box release pipeline.

Built close to customers

We run the same update flow for our own apps, support enterprise accounts directly, and keep the feedback loop short.

Founder note

"From a solo project to a focused team serving production apps, Capgo has stayed anchored in the same belief: app teams should be able to fix, improve, and recover without waiting on stores."
