What happened to CodePush
Microsoft ended App Center CodePush as a hosted service. Teams on Capacitor, Ionic, or Cordova need a maintained live-update path built for the web-to-native stack.
React Native and Expo teams typically move to EAS Update. Capgo focuses on Capacitor and does not replace CodePush for pure React Native apps.
The reality: CodePush was free and worked well... until Microsoft stopped maintaining it. It's in legacy mode for React Native, and there's no official Capacitor support.
When it was good: Free is hard to beat! And Microsoft's infrastructure meant it was reliable.
