Common questions

What code changes does the Capawesome migration need?
Uninstall @capawesome/capacitor-live-update, install @capgo/capacitor-updater, run cap sync, and call CapacitorUpdater.notifyAppReady() at startup. Channels, bundle cleanup, and rollback are handled by Capgo.
Which Capacitor versions are supported?
Capacitor 5 or later. Upgrade older projects first, then switch the live update plugin.
Do I need a new store release?
Yes, once. Swapping the live update plugin is a native change. After that build is live, web changes ship through Capgo without store review.
Can I keep my CI pipeline?
Yes. Replace the Capawesome upload step with npx @capgo/cli@latest bundle upload. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and other pipelines keep working.
