Common questions

What is Capawesome Cloud?
A hosted service from Capawesome (Genz IT Solutions GmbH, Germany) for Capacitor live updates, launched in 2024. Platform plans add cloud iOS and Android builds and store publishing.
How much does Capawesome Cloud cost?
Live Updates plans run from $9/month (1K MAU) to $249/month (250K MAU). Platform plans with native builds run from $19/month to $499/month. Capgo starts at $12/month billed yearly, with native build time included.
Is Capawesome Cloud open source?
The Live Update plugin and CLI are open source under MIT, but the cloud service is hosted by Capawesome and bundle metadata stays there. The Capgo updater is MPL-2.0 and its backend is AGPL-3.0, so you can run the whole stack yourself.
Can I keep Capawesome plugins if I move live updates to Capgo?
Yes. The live update plugin is separate from the rest. Remove @capawesome/capacitor-live-update, install @capgo/capacitor-updater, and keep any other Capawesome plugins you use.
