How Capgo pricing works

No seats. No surprise bills.

Every plan includes Live Updates, Native Builds, Notifications, Observe, plugins, and automations. Plans differ only by usage limits and support.

  • Unlimited members and apps
  • Cancel anytime, access until the period ends
  • 14-day trial, no credit card
What counts as a monthly active user?
One device that checks Capgo for updates in a rolling 30 days. Not people, not seats, not installs. The same phone in two of your apps counts once per app.
What happens when I hit a limit?
We email you at 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100%. At the limit, new update downloads pause and your app keeps running its current version. Upgrade or add credits whenever you want. We never charge overages without your confirmation.
How is bandwidth counted?
Only bytes a device actually downloads count. With Delta updates, that means only the changed files. Files or zips already cached at the edge do not count, and interrupted downloads resume without counting twice.
What are build hours?
Time spent compiling your iOS and Android binaries on Capgo's macOS M4 machines. Extra build minutes use credits.

Plan Features & Limits

Everything you need to know about your plan's capabilities

How are Monthly Active Users (MAU) counted?

Capgo measures MAU as distinct active devices that contact Capgo in a rolling 30-day period. It is device-based rather than person-based; the same device is counted separately in each distinct native app ID.

You can exclude development builds and emulators from production update channels. That controls update delivery, not MAU: a build can still count when it contacts Capgo. To keep it out of production usage, build it with live updates disabled and do not call Capgo endpoints. Learn more about this here.

Learn More
Do all plans include the same features?
Yes for core products. Every plan includes Live Updates, Native Builds, Notifications, Observe, Capgo plugins, and Automations. We do not charge per seat or lock those products behind higher tiers. Plans differ by usage limits (MAU, bandwidth, storage, build time) and support level. Enterprise adds extras that take more of our time, such as SSO, custom domains, compliance paperwork, and a dedicated channel.
Can I get a custom contract, MSA, or vendor questionnaire?
Yes, on any plan. Self-serve plans run on our standard Terms of Service and DPA by default. If your procurement team needs more, the Procurement add-on (from US$2,500/year, prepaid, available on every plan, included in Enterprise) covers invoice or PO billing, vendor onboarding portals and security questionnaires, and at the higher level custom MSAs and redlines, DPA and SCC review and reports under NDA. The add-on is paid upfront for the year before any paperwork starts. We do not carry cyber or E&O insurance on any plan: bundles are end-to-end encrypted with your keys, served from your domain, and the whole stack is open source so you can self-host at any time.
What is storage used for and how does it work?

Storage keeps the retained app bundles and assets needed for rollout, rollback, and deployment history. Historical bundles and Delta assets count toward storage while they are retained. You control unused-bundle retention in your app settings; bundles linked to an active channel or rollout stay protected. Regional replication does not multiply storage: each bundle is counted once, regardless of delivery regions.

Learn More
How is Bandwidth Counted?
Bandwidth only counts the bytes a device actually downloads from Capgo. With Delta updates (upload with --delta), a device downloads only the files that changed since the version it already has, so unchanged files cost nothing. Any file or full zip already cached at the edge does not count. If a download is interrupted, it resumes where it stopped, so the part already downloaded is not counted again.
What does "build time" refer to in the plans?
Build time refers to the time Capgo spends building your native app in the cloud using Capgo Build, our cloud-based solution for iOS and Android. It allows you to build your app from any computer without needing a Mac, simplifies CI/CD workflows, and enables teammates who are not familiar with native builds to generate builds reliably. Using the Capgo CLI, you can trigger builds in a simple and reproducible way, often faster and easier than managing your own CI/CD setup.
What happens if I reach the Monthly Active Users (MAU) limit?
We'll send you email notifications when you reach 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100% of your MAU limit. Once you hit the limit, your updates will be blocked until the end of your billing cycle. To continue serving updates, you can upgrade to a higher plan or purchase credits to cover the additional usage.
What happens if I reach the Storage limit?
You'll receive email notifications at 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100% of your storage limit. When you reach the limit, you won't be able to upload new bundles until the end of your billing cycle, you upgrade your plan, or you purchase credits to cover the additional usage. Existing updates will continue to work normally.
What happens if I reach the Bandwidth limit?
We'll notify you by email when you reach 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100% of your bandwidth limit. Once the limit is reached, update downloads will be blocked until your billing cycle resets, you upgrade to a plan with more bandwidth, or you purchase credits to cover the additional usage. Your app will continue to function with its current version.
Can I update capacitor.config.ts changes via Capgo?
No. Capgo can send the generated web build folder: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, assets, and pure-JavaScript package changes bundled into that output. Changes to capacitor.config.ts, native plugin configuration, native package installs or upgrades, and anything that must update the iOS or Android project through npx cap sync or npx cap copy require a native app release.

Billing & Payments

Everything about pricing, payments, and subscriptions

Do you offer annual billing and ACH payment options?
ACH is available only for annual payments from Enterprise plan customers. Contact us for more information.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). For annual plans, we also accept bank transfers. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades are applied at the end of your current billing cycle. This ensures you get full value from your current plan until it expires.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you'll retain access to your plan throughout the rest of your billing period. If you have outstanding usage-based charges, you'll be charged for those immediately upon cancellation. After that, you won't be charged again.
Do you offer refunds?
Except when required by law, paid subscription fees are non-refundable. However, certain refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of Capgo. If you believe you qualify for a refund, please contact our support team.
Are there any setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fees, ever. All our pricing is transparent and includes everything you need to get started. All plans consist of a base plan price plus credit usage for any usage beyond your plan limits. Unlike other platforms in this space, we don't hide any costs - what you see is what you pay.
Can I use credits without an active subscription?
Yes. You can buy prepaid credits without an active subscription and use them for usage-based access. Credits are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
What happens when Capgo is down, canceled, or I exceed my plan limits?

Your app continues to work normally even when Capgo is unavailable. Here is what happens in different scenarios:

  • Capgo is down: Capgo is down: App ignores updates, existing updates stay on device
  • Subscription canceled: Subscription canceled: Existing updates remain, no new updates are downloaded
  • Above plan limits: Above plan limits: Updates stop until you upgrade or add credits

Do you offer discounts for students, non-profits, or startups?

Security & Compliance

Enterprise security features and certifications

SOC 2: what does it mean?
SOC 2 refers to SOC 2 Type II certification, a recognized security compliance standard. Capgo is SOC 2 Type II certified, meaning its systems and processes are independently audited to ensure high standards of security, availability, and confidentiality, including data protection, access controls, service reliability, and safe data handling. In practice, this means Capgo follows enterprise-grade security practices and can be used by companies with compliance requirements, corporate clients, and B2B or regulated environments. SOC 2 coverage and the audit report are available on the Enterprise plan only.
Can I use SOC 2 compliance with Solo, Maker, or Team plans?
For now, it's only available on the Enterprise plan.
